Finley Anderson

Attorney

Finley Anderson earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from the University of Georgia in 2018 and her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law in 2025. She has been with Burns Smith Law since her 1L law school year, affording her broad experience across domestic matters, civil litigation, criminal matters, and appeals for the past several years. Prior to law school, she worked for a metro-Atlanta civil litigation firm assisting with national toxic tort litigation. She has additionally assisted other local Canton firms upon specific requests for her research insights on discreet high-level projects. 

Ms. Anderson received CALI Awards for Academic Excellence in Family Law, Information Privacy Law, and Employment Discrimination. In 2026, she received the Custer Tuggle Award for Excellence in Family Law from the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.

Ms. Anderson currently serves as Treasurer of the Blue Ridge Bar Association, and she is admitted to practice in Georgia, in the Court of Appeals of Georgia, and in the Georgia Supreme Court. 

Ms. Anderson brings a well-rounded legal background, strong academic record, and impressive commitment to client advocacy to her practice. Her expansive work across many legal landscapes has facilitated her deft handling of complex legal matters with the right mix of diligence, adaptability, assertiveness, and sound professional judgment.
